Yes, Tiger, Even Us Kids Can See It!
If you have Nothing to hide? Then DON'T HIDE!
Don't refuse to speak to the police.
The guys is hiding something, lets not fool ourselves. Don't take the public for the idiots he is himself. Avoiding the cops for three days makes him look guilty as hell.
Why do you people treat this man with kid gloves he is one of the most conceited and ungracious sports figure out there……get a real life people.
I am also offended by the hypocrisy of his statement. Frankly, I expect he's having marital problems and that's sad for him, his wife and his family. But, lying about it sure isn't gonna help.
He made a statement which isn't believable. If he did that after getting advice, then either he ignored the advice and lied, or he was told to lie. Both are stupid.
And, he may be Tiger Woods but people worth just as much money as he have come clean and didn't take their fans for fools... Lying is bad news. Look at the damage to the car, that's more than just a simple accident backing out of the house? He was moving at a very decent rate of speed to do all that damage to his car. . That implies haste or anger. Neither are compatible with a simple driving accident. Also, he makes no statement about why he was out and about at 2:30 in the morning.
He crashed across the street, his wife was there with a golf club in her hands and the BACK window was broken "to rescue him" in a car where the back window is 9 feet from the driver.
I can't be the only one who didn't find this whole situation mysterious from the get-go. Wasn't it pretty obvious this is what happened?
This really changes the story - first reports said he backed out of his driveway at 2:30 A.M. and hit a fire hydrant and continued striking a tree - and that his wife freed him from the wreckage by breaking open the back window with a golf club.
His story is full is holes and he should be getting better advice. Avoiding the cops for three days makes him look guilty as hell.
Lastly, he makes his living by being a public figure and he had to expect the same level of interest in all aspects of his life. He can't expect to have it both ways.
Here is the way I see it.
His wife had confronted him about reports that he was seeing another woman. The argument got heated and she scratched his face up. Then Tiger ran out in a hasty retreat for his SUV -- but his wife followed behind with a golf club. As Tiger drove away, she struck the rear window several times with the club. He got out and she clobbered him on his head with the club knocking him unconscious.

I have no use for adulterers, if he is one, but I do think this is kind of funny.
ReplyDeleteThanks...
ReplyDeleteOuch. That had ta hurt.
ReplyDeleteInteresting speculation - & very plausible.
Debbie is right.. Tell the police (the sooner the better)
ReplyDeleteI am still at a loss......
ReplyDeleteTrophy Wife
Arm ridden Eye Candy
Extremely Shagadelic...
These are all guy euphemisms to describe his wife. Either she has to be a very ugly person on the inside...or he just has no control over chasing the forbidden fruit.
I just don't get it....
You said it better than anyone else I've read yet.
ReplyDeleteBTW... I loved that picture...
OK, I'll say that Wood's behavior (serial cheating) was/IS both disgusting and dysfunctional, not to mention dangerous to his wife and family (exposing them to all sorts of health risks), but an overlooked part of the story is that Wood's actually reacted somewhat gallantly in the wake of being physically attacked.
ReplyDeleteYour own conclusion seems fairly accurate to me, "His wife had confronted him about reports that he was seeing another woman. The argument got heated and she scratched his face up. Then Tiger ran out in a hasty retreat for his SUV - but his wife followed behind with a golf club. As Tiger drove away, she struck the rear window several times with the club. He got out and she clobbered him on his head with the club knocking him unconscious."
Except I'd add what others have already speculated, that aside from the scratches on his face, she'd apparently thrown some object at him, hitting him in the face and bloodying his lips and nose...that coupled with the "golf club-braining" constitutes a felony assault.
Again, it's a lot easier for most people to see that if the roles are simply reversed - if Tiger Woods had come home, confronted his wife about her cheating and then began to pummel her, ultimately into unconsciousness, and cops found him giving his wife CPR in that state....we'd now be reading about the ongoing "Tiger Woods assault and battery/attempted murder trial," and NOT about Elin Woods' triumphant and justifiable "revenge."
There's no good outcome for anyone of the members of that family, and the ONLY "innocents" there are the children, in my view.
Elin Woods, picked him. And we don't know if she's all clean on the same score herself.
The weird thing for me is this double-standard on violence (in THIS case, domestic violence), we laugh at a woman's violent behavior, but are repulsed when a guy does the same thing....in recent years we've seen many rappers physically assault women in their lives over what might be called "fidelity issues" and the reaction is usually the exact reverse....there's no one laughing, the way many are at Elin Woods' violent outburst.
The crux of the coverage in that regards seems to presuppose that, "The aggrieved spouse, in such a situation, has the right to assault the cheating partner."
OK, but I don't think it'll appear as amusing the next time a male celebrity bats his cheating wife around their home...at least I'm guessing it won't be, at least for most of us.
