Flag Day 2010

Today is one of those "minor" holidays. No one gets the day off work because it's Flag Day and it's business as usual throughout the country. A few towns and cities across the nation have small parades or other community events to celebrate but it largely passes unnoticed by most Americans. And this "minor" holiday seems to become less important as the years go by.

The big question of the day, (at lest for me) is will President Obama observe this day? Will he even call attention to it?
But why would Obama care? He removed his American flag lapel pin. He doesn't hold his hand over
his heart during the playing of the anthem.
Forgetting to put on the flag pin is one thing. But making a "statement" by not wearing a flag pin is something else.
Does anyone need a reason for wearing a Flag pin? Well, let's see, how about if you are the President?

Jobless Claims Rise

The number of workers filing new applications for unemployment insurance rose unexpectedly last week, a report showed on Thursday, heightening fears the labor market recovery was stalling. Initial claims for state unemployment benefits increased 13,000 to a seasonally adjusted 472,000 in the week ended June 26, the Labor Department said. Analysts polled by Reuters had expected claims to slip to 452,000 from the previously reported 457,000, which was revised slightly up to 459,000 in the latest report.
Based on what I see, unemployment is not going to improve until 2011.

Stocks Retreat Again... Recovery? What Recovery?

Stocks tumbled again today after worse-than-expected readings on manufacturing, housing and the labor market exacerbated fears that the economy is heading for another recession.
The dollar was lower against the euro and the Japanese yen. Here we go again folks.

Obama's Agenda

Obama has his own agenda in place and there is nothing that is going to derail it from happening, he didn’t put healthcare on the back burn even as the economy remains fragile and unemployment remains high. I’m not at all that surprised that he is not going to focus anymore on the oil spill, he has higher priorities to worry about than a massive environmental and economic disaster.

Our Hope has Changed.

Apparently, the president of the United States doesn't have any reason to stay in his office and deal with the economy, unemployment, the devastation of our Gulf shorelines, Black Panthers intimidating voters, nonexistent border control, the war in Afghanistan, control in Iraq, Iran nukes, the safety of Israel and so on.

He doesn't even pretend like Clinton used to do, with that plaintive whine about how HARD he'd been working. Obama just gives us the finger and goes his merry way, enjoying being the king of the prom

The Liberals STILL just don't get it!

Scott Brown wasn't driving a pickup truck last night. He was driving a bulldozer and he drove it right through a little place called Camelot. When he was done he parked it right in the middle of that place, got out of the bulldozer, began walking away with his back to the bulldozer, pulled a detonation device out of his pocket and blew the whole damn place to hell!
There was even a guy named Kennedy on the ballot!

Abortion

There are too many people, fanatics on both side, who base their vote on not on a candidate, but on who they hope their candidate will nominate to the Supreme Court on the supposition that a case may perhaps make it to the Court in the next four years that may have some national implications on this issue.

This is BS

Vote on foreign policy. Vote on national tax policy. Vote on deficit spending. Vote on going to Mars. Vote on something, anything, that actually belongs at the federal level.

Abortion, as divisive and poisonous issue as it is, should be left to the states, much like the death penalty. When we have a real national consensus on this issue, we can codify it at the national level. Until then, keep the federal government out of it. I do not want to be held hostage by the wackos that think pro-choicers enjoy having abortions or the wackos that think pro-lifers want women treated like barnyard animals

Nancy Pelosi Tries to get PC, and Falls Flat on Her Face.

Nancy Pelosi , appearing before the Democratic National Committee winter meeting this morning, was illustrating the diversity of the Democratic party by painting the touching scene of FDR's final train ride from Georgia to Hyde Park. Then she stumbled.
And here comes the "good" part!

"There were farmers and black Americans, whatever the name was in those days, Afric- uh -- large numbers of African-Americans, poor people, middle class people, everyone. . . they lined the tracks to pay their respects," Pelosi told an audience at the Capitol Hilton.

Pelosi haters, and there are plenty of them, are likely to compare the remark to Leader Harry Reid's private comment that President Obama didn't speak in "Negro" dialect.

In fact, her gaffe couldn't have been more different.

Reid was privately using anachronistic, offensive language he'd never use in public, thinking his comments would never see the light of the day.

Pelosi, it appears, got into trouble for the opposite reason: She was trying to come up with the most PC way of describing African-Americans in a public forum -- in hopes of offending no one -- and wound up with a very un-PC quote that is likely to cause at least some offense.

Pelosi, its time to hang it up. Although you talk like your a friend of all blacks and always been your a closet racist and you got caught.

This is what happens when you have to be ....Politically correct...This happens when people take "offense" ...This happens when elected officials let their "true" thoughts come out.

Obama Wants to Bankrupt America

You pathetic little economic illiterate liberals. Don't even see the game that your Dear leader is playing.
You can't see that his agenga is to bankroupe America so that we would be crying for his SOCIALIST programs! Obama is attacking the very sources you socialist twits need to pay for your cradle-to-grave welfare state, and you cheer. He twists the knife in the back of the US economy, and you cheer.
Barack Obama promised Americans that he would get the economy back on track. Obama promised he would end the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. Obama promised to improve everything. What is actually behind President Obama's plan? Does he really want to improve the economy and bring our troops home? Does he really want to help ease the burden for small businesses? I wonder what the words "fundamentally transform America" actually mean. What is behind Obama's plan for America?

The current health care bill is not about providing quality affordable health care. South Carolina Congressman Joe Wilson proposed an amendment that would force members of Congress to receive the same quality of health care that is in the bill. Surprisingly, none of the members of Congress who supported the health care bill voted for the amendment. The public would receive the quality of health care that members of Congress rejected.
Obama's plan to bankrupt America by spending billions of dollars on a failed economic stimulus package, one trillion dollars on health care, billions of dollars on cap and trade, and billions more on the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq will succeed if it is not stopped. Why are we spending money we do not have? When you shop, do you spend money you don't have? No, because you would be in debt. And if the debt accumulates into larger proportions, then it is only a matter of time before you file bankruptcy. This is common sense, but President Obama continues to slam his foot on the accelerator. Several days ago, President Obama stated in a speech to the Brookings Institute that America must continue to "spend our way out of this recession" as long as there is a high unemployment rate. If he cares about the future of this country, why does he keep spending money when we are in a recession? The national debt is at $12 trillion and is projected by the White House to double by the next decade. This is why I believe President Obama, as stated before, wants to "fundamentally transform America."

Do you still have your doubts? What if I'm wrong? This would make me into a complete idiot, which I am fine with. But what if I'm right? It would be too late for you to stop it and the outcome would be worse for all of us. President Obama's policies will not affect you now, but they will in ten or fifteen years.
In case you didn't know it, we're already bankrupt. If the government were a private citizen they'd all be in a soup kitchen and living in a flop house.
America is not the same America we knew befor. This America is not the America that I went into the military to fight for. The real America would not put up with all these lies and these false promises ? the American people would have done something about all of this? Barack Hussein Obama's budget plans will create $9.3 trillion dollars in deficits during the next decade. And, he doesn't seem bothered in the least by this astronomical sum, well I am!
